Wasps consists of at least one group of flying insects, which will increase in number as the player goes further down into the dungeon, to the point where they become a swarm of wasps, requiring several hits before being completely annihilated. As with many flying creatures, it may be harder to hit and pets may have trouble reaching them.

Traits[]
Wasps have been observed to have the following abilities or behaviours:
- Alignment : Neutral;
- Diet: Carnivore;
- Health: Heals much quicker;
- Movement: Flying, fast;
- Resistance: Sleep;
- Swarm: In lower levels, may encounter more than more wasps in a single group;
- Weakness: Fire;
- Weakness: Poison.
Tips[]
- If pets are commanded to attack the wasps, they may not be able to reach to attack them and instead temporarily run away, leaving the player alone;
- Ordering pet wasps to attack shopkeepers can be used to can bait out all charges from the wand of the shopkeeper;
- Zapping wasps with a wand of polymorph displays the message: "the wasps look slightly different." The result only changes the number of wasps in the swarm, affecting their overall deadliness, the wasps do not change into another creature. Therefore, this action is ill-advised early game, but it's a considerable strategy later on.
