The teleportation trap is a dungeon feature which when triggered, will teleport any creature who passes over it, as per the teleport away spell. A circle with two arrows pointing outward symbol in the mini-map indicates the location of the teleportation trap and whether or not it is still active.
Location[]
- Depths of 100 feet and lower;
- Can only be found in the main dungeon.
Types and Effects[]
There are two known teleportation traps:
- (Normal) Teleportation Trap; The normal version will teleport a creature 1-3 floors away;
- Powerful Teleportation Trap: The powerful teleportation trap will teleport 4+ floors away.
Prevention[]
- Quaffing a potion of see invisible (to detect the trap beforehand);
- Wearing a ring of see invisible (to detect the trap beforehand);
- Wearing a ring of teleport control ((doesn't technically prevent, although it does offer control over the teleportation).
Tips[]
- All traps are invisible until triggered or detected by other methods;
- Traps can be avoided by simply jumping over or flying over it;
- Traps will eventually run out of charges if continuously triggered;
- Not all hostile creatures will be teleported when passing over the trap, this is more likely a bug.
