- Reading a blessed scroll while confused will grant the rustproof status to the weapon wielded instead of improving the enchantment or turn it into a tame possessed weapon.
- Reading an uncursed scroll while confused can grant the rustproof status to the weapon wielded or turn it into a possessed weapon.
After a weapon is enchanted by reading the scroll of enchant weapon, a message will appear stating the weapon was surrounded by a 'golden glow' or 'red glow'. Weapons which glow golden may be safely enchanted again, and weapons which glow red will be destroyed if any further enchanting is attempted. under some specific circumstances, there can also be a blue glow and other colors referring to specific states such as rust proof and fire proof.
- Reading an uncursed or blessed scroll that is burnt can grant an acid proof status to the weapon instead of improving the enchantment.
To enchant a specific weapon, remove all equipped weapons except for the piece you wish to enchant.
Caution! Weapons which are found with a high level enchantment (generally +7 or higher) may be destroyed if any enchanting is attempted.
+7 is the limit for enchanting weapons. However, enchanting to a max of +7 and then having a smith reforge the weapon will result in a +8 enchantment.
