- Reading this scroll will grant a +1 enchantment to any equipped armor chosen at random.
- Reading this scroll will grant a +2 or +3 enchantment to any equipped armor chosen at random.
- Reading this scroll will grant a -1 enchantment to any equipped armor chosen at random.
- Reading this scroll while confused will have the effect of reading a scroll of repair armor instead of the expected result.
After a piece of armor is enchanted by reading the scroll of enchant armor a message will appear stating the armor was surrounded by a 'golden glow' or 'red glow'. Armor which glows golden may be safely enchanted again, and armor which glows red will be destroyed if any further enchanting is attempted.
To enchant a specific piece of armor, remove all equipped armor except for the piece you wish to enchant.
Caution! Armor found with a high level enchantment (generally +7 or higher) may be destroyed if any enchanting is attempted.
+7 is the limit for enchanting weapons and armor. However, enchanting to a max of +7 and then having a smith reforge the armor will result in a +8 enchantment. The same is true of weapons.
Enchant armor scolls will also repair damaged armor and remove a curse on the item.
