The quivering blob is an enemy encountered in the mid-dungeon. Although it is slow, its melee attacks can shatter potions and can divide if struck. Music will divide the blob at an alarming rate.

Traits[]
Quivering blobs have been observed to have the following abilities or behaviours:
- Alignment: Neutral:
- Attack: Touch. Chance to shatter potions in inventory;
- Defense: Divide. Chance to divide into a new blob when attacked;
- Deaf: Immune to the effects of musical instruments;
- Movement: Slow;
- Resistance: Sleep.
Divide[]
The quivering blob has a unique ability to divide into more blobs under certain conditions:
- Music: Although ironically deaf, using any musical instrument will cause it to divide;
- Sleep: Casting a sleep spell will cause it to divide.
The divide ability of the quivering blob can be exploited for a respectable amount of experience, especially when using musical instruments. It should be noted that the blob will divide into one space towards the player, so be mindful of the distance, as if the player is too close, it may divide and the new blob may immediately attack the player.
Using a harp of lullabies appears to have backfired.
