The jail is a dungeon feature found in mid to lower levels of the dungeon. The jail cell contains a single prisoner who may be released if the player possesses a skeleton key or lock pick.
If released, the prisoner (random character class) will then join the player and function similarly to a pet. The lower the location of the jail is, the higher level of the prisoner.
