The giant ant is a well armoured opponent found in the early levels of the dungeon. It is quite large and blocks the movement of other creatures (similar to molds). The fully grown giant ant is usually found alone, although some can be found near a nest of giant ant eggs, which may hatch hostile baby ants. A group only consisting hostile baby ants can also be found in other instances.

- As a pet, the giant ant can carry a large amount of items;
- Be careful when having a pet giant ant. Often on ladders, retreat will be blocked if the giant ant is there. They can only move in one direction on a ladder.
