"You are telepathic." - Probe info when wearing an amulet of ESP.

The amulet of extra sensory perception (ESP) gives the wearer telepathy, allowing one to sense all nearby creatures via a sphere above a creature which can be seen through walls. It also provides messages "You sense x."

Based on the features of the sphere the wearer can tell if the creature is hostile, friendly, or sleeping. The sphere also roughly indicates how powerful a creature is, how much health remains and any intrinsic abilities (e.g. poison resistance, cold resistance) the creature may have.

Obtained From[]

  • Dungeon (chance to be found in chests or lying on the ground);
  • Emporium (sold if available);
  • Fine Jewellery (sold if available).

Sigils[]

  • Green indicates that the creature is friendly;
  • Red indicates that the creature is hostile;
  • White indicates that a hostile creature is asleep (if an ally is sleeping, it will remain green);
  • Yellow indicates a mold or lichen;
  • Blue indicates friendly NPCs and traders.

Intrinsic[]

  • Additional images may encircle the sigil of a creature, signifying resistance. A poison glass cloud for example, will indicate resistance to poison. Unfortunately these symbols may be too small to see;
  • A Gnomish walker is a good example displaying most if not all resistances.

Tips[]

  • Amulets are usually automatically picked up by the player;
  • This amulet is immediately identified when worn;
  • This amulet cannot be further enchanted;
  • Do not wear unidentified amulets without the certainty that they are not cursed;
  • Amulets can be be sold to the jeweller or the shopkeeper.
